ZOO Lešná is located by the Lešná castle, 10 km from the city of Zlín. The first zoo was established by Tomáš Baťa, a famous Czech entrepreneur, in 1930, located by the castle of the city Zlín, later moved onto the top of Tlustá hora and then to the Lešná castle. The zoo keeps over 200 animal species and a curiosity is that you can actually enter the exhibition of ostrich and kangaroos. The area has a botanical garden with 13,000 kinds of plants, the latest exhibition hall is from 2007 displaying 250 rare plant species from tropical Yucatán. After the second world war the zoo was nationalized and in 1948 opened to the public

Visit ZOO Lešná, where you can see 222 species of animals from Africa, Asia, Australia and America. Your task is simple, take picture with rays in the Bay of the rays.

The ZOO is open every day from 8:30AM to 4PM, entrance fee for students is 60CZK and for adults above 26 years it is 80CZK. You can find more information on the official page, but the information there about opening hours and entrance fee is old.
